Manly – 7 Miles from Sydney and 1000 miles from care was the slogan used by the Port Jackson & Manly Steamship Company in 1940 to describe “Australia’s Premier Seaside Resort”. And today, no visit to Sydney is complete without an excursion to the seaside suburb of Manly.

The 7 nautical miles via the magnificent waterway of Sydney Harbour is the original and still best way to travel, arriving at Manly Wharf – a brand new food and wine oasis at Manly Cove. Since 1855 ferries have been plying this spectacular route between Circular Quay and Manly and today you have a variety of water transport options.

Sydney Ferries’ famous Manly Ferry is a "must do" for visitors and makes the 30 minute trip regularly, day and night. Sydney Ferries other commuter service is the Manly Jetcat which takes 15 minutes to do the one way trip.

By road, Manly Warringah Cabs has been servicing the Northern Beaches since 1953 and can be booked by phoning 131668. The Manly Airport Bus transfers visitors to and from the Manly region 7 days and nights, with the first run 4.30am for early birds. They can be booked on 9981 1453 .

But however you make your way to Manly, we know your visit to this resort suburb in the City of Sydney will be something to write home about!
